The Saint Michael Mustangs senior football team improved to 2-3 in NCAA play with a 22-6 victory over the Lakeshore Catholic Gators.
“Saint Michael took many penalties that took away many positive yards. Our team needs more disciplined if we are going to beat Denis Morris this Friday,” Mustangs head coach Brian Carter said.

Sydney Sica is playing out her eligibility in women’s soccer at the post-secondary level in record-setting fashion, much to the chagrin of goalkeepers in the Ontario College Athletics Association (OCAA) West Division.
Wednesday night in Toronto was no exception for the Niagara Knights midfielder. The graduate of Saint Michael Catholic High School in Niagara Falls accounted for all of her team’s scoring in a 2-2 draw with the host Humber Hawks.

Luka Dermott’s first-ever game at quarterback was a roaring success.
The Grade 11 student at Saint Michael threw for three touchdowns and rushed for another Friday as the visiting Mustangs recorded a 34-0 victory over the Holy Cross Raiders in the opening game of Niagara Catholic Athletic Association senior football action.
“I played slot receiver last year on the junior team and I decided to try out for quarterback this year and it went pretty well,” the 16-year-old said.
