Congratulation so to Serena D’Amico, a Grade 12 student at Saint Michael Catholic High School, who will join Team Canada’s U-18 girls’ softball team for the Women’s Under 18 Softball World Cup in Oklahoma September 25-October 3. Team Canada is ranked Number 4 in the Women’s Softball World Cup Rankings and will open Group A play against Number 5-ranked Chinese Taipei on September 27, then play a doubleheader on September 28 against Number 7-ranked China, and the USA, ranked second in the competition.

Serena had a busy summer this summer, participating in several softball tournaments, including the 2025 Canada Summer Games in Newfoundland. Serena has signed an intent to play with University of Detroit Mercy in September 2026.
